When coming to Mexico, it is important to let the US consulate General in Tijuana know
your agenda. If you live here full time you need to be on the contact list at the consulate.
In case of an emergency the American consular officers can assist you. But if they don't know where
you are, they can't. The office also offers passport renewal services that are quick and effective.
