Although Mexican real estate hasn't become as bottomed out as in the States, prices are better than ever! Most people are looking for bargains....especially in with ocean views or on the ocean! Imagine an already well priced home lowering its price! It's an even better bargain! Come on down to see for yourself! With interest rates dropping in the States, you can refinance your Stateside house and buy a house for casoh down here! You'd be amazed at what you can buy for a fraction of the Stateside prices. It's a wonderful place to live! Just think of $200 a year for property taxes.....you aren't giving your hard earned money to the State! You may have enough left to buy food or go on a cruise. We just went on a cruise for a week out of San Diego on the Princess line for $350 each. We went down the Mexican Riviera to Can Cun, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.....no airfare so the price was right! Too bad you're not here enjoying all that life has to offer from this wonderful area!

Prices are right on Thursday nights at the Palms in Rosarito. Take the Cantamar exit after passing Puerto Nuevo and presto the Palms Cantina is right there. It has a palapa roof and big signs saying Cantina. Can;t miss it. Thursdays are Ladies Days......all drinks & yummy appetizers are half off. Local residents congregate there are Thursdays so it's a lot of fun! After 6 pm, normal prices return, so get there early! In the summers this great place has outdoor entertainment every Sunday....another local hang out time! Great food all the time!!!! You'll love it!

In a neighborhood with houses starting and $300,000 and up, the owner says, "Unload it for $179.000." It is an unfinished new construction home that is right across a small street from the ocean. In fact, the waterfront homes a mere hundred feet across the street are selling for over 1 million dollars. This is a rare opportunity to pick up a property at rock bottom price! It's a special because of personal problems, not with the slow market.....family illness causes the owner to sell his dream resort home! But you will need to finish it. It has the roof, windows, cupola in place but the inside needs all the fixtures, cabinets, and finishing. There's already a fireplace and some ceiling fans, and beautiful wood doors installed. You need to come see the roof top patio. The ocean is right there to view in all directions. In the States it would be million dollar property. But here it's a bargain.....come to view it! It's a once in a lifetime opportunity! If you are a do it yourselfer, investor, builder or just someone lookijng for the best bang for the buck, this is it! It's in Mision Viejo, south of Rosarito but still with a Rosarito address. It's guarded and gated 24/7 and an area that most people want to live in.......Come see for yourself!!! Ck out photos of it on my website: www.baja4uproperties.com. You'll love it!

Are you still bundled up in winter clothes? Paying high heating bills? Scraping ice off your windshield? Or shoveling snow? Is the cold finally getting to you? Why don't you consider moving south to Mexico? We're sitting in our bathing suits watching the ocean waves in about 80 degree weather. We live by the ocean where there's always a nice breeze and the sun shines most of the time. Come on down where the sun is shining! We have a lazy way of life---no pressure---no stress! People are friendly and there's always someone to share fun with. Boating, Surfing, fishing, or just lazing around reading a book? It's all here----in the sun!

Communications technology has come a long way since we first came here 12 years ago. Now we have wireless as well as hard line DSL internet connections. It is getting to be sophisticated but is not perfect yet. We recently switched from the Telnor Prodigy wireless to a line of sight cellular wireless. So when you ask if there's internet connections in Mexico, the answer is "yes" and you have some choices too!

A wise traveler will insure his car before entering Mexico. The best prices are offered inside Mexico from a certified Mexican insurance company. If you need insurance before heading south, call Alejandro Cuadros at 619-446-6341 from the states or 011-52-661-612-1239. He also offers home insurance and a bill paying service. Paying bills in Mexico requires waiting in lines unless you hire someone else to pay it for you. He makes it easy. He has connections with all the utility companies and can act as your representative when something goes wrong. He speaks English and Spanish fluently. You will like him and his low prices! Give him a call....you don't want to pay high prices for car or home insurance.

Ruben's Restaurant and Grill was filled with over 60 people who attended his sunrise buffet on Easter Sunday. ALL CASH GIVES SOLID GROUND DURING TOUGH TIMES There is a fact that is hard for US citizens to believe---when a home is purchased in Mexico, the comm on practice is for the buyer to pay all cash. Many foreigners don't understand why they see a house partially finished as they travel into the country.....It is not finished because the owner will build it slowly, as he accumulates the cash to buy the materials to finish the house. MEXICANS GENERALLY PAY ALL CASH for their properties. Most foreigners will pay all cash too. So are there foreclosures in Mexico when the market gets slow? Yes, there are some, but not as many as in the States in the same kind of slow market because the owners don't have a lender who will repossess a property because of lack of payment. Are there mortgages available in Mexico? Yes but they are not as common as "All Cash." The interest rate can be close to 18% for a Mexican loan so they have typically not been very popular. With the advent of the Baja Boom in real estate, many US lenders turned their heads and their business to the area, making US loans available to the foreigners who wanted a vacation resort 2nd home. Condos were going up one after another making it look like we'd have a Miami seacoast along the road south--blocking off the view of the ocean along the way. As a result of the current retreat of the boom with the advent of a buyer's market, some of the lenders have pulled away. It is still possible to get a loan down here, but they take a long time to process and the cost of closing skyrockets......Are there foreclosures? No, not like in the States. Because of the "all cash" popularity, the market is not like the bargain offerings as in the States. The owners are on solid ground and have the ability to hang on through the hard times waiting for an upturn in the market. Guess what? Property taxes are often under $100 a year and there is a discount to the elderly!!!!!

Mexicans living in the United States are living with hate and prejudice. Many of the legal residents who have been naturalized have to face attitudes that are thickly prejudicial....."Go back home" is the message they receive as they are faced with dirty looks and having to justify their naturalization. It seems to me that the US lures, with promises of jobs, the people who are living in poverty and have no hope for improving themselves to work in the USA. Fruit pickers, maid service, nanny service etc are given to the illegals who risk their lives to get to the States. There is a law against entering the States illegally but it has been largely ignored for years. Now, the illegals fear that the law will be enforced with deportation and losing whatever jobs they have. Their lives are in tumult. Hate? Mistreatment? We have migrated southward into Mexico. We find the Mexicans who reside in Rosarito to be filled with happiness, sharing and affection. They are not deserving of the hate that is poured out on them. They work hard, play hard and are filled with talent. They sing, dance and create artistic works that are to be admire. Take a moment to see the beauty of their culture. They enjoy life and share it with us! They treat us well when we treat them well. Why hate? Let's be friends.....don't shut your heart. Open your eyes and see the problems that exist in the States against these warm, friendly people who love God and family!
